At MagicWave, every story begins with a heartbeat — a spark of emotion that grows into something vivid, intimate, and beautifully human.
Creator's Notes is our space to share those heartbeats with you: a window into the minds, instincts, and emotional landscapes of the writers who shape our Originals.
For Inks & Pollen, we invited writer Elowen Scarlet to share her personal journey — not a behind-the-scenes breakdown, but a raw, warm, wonderfully chaotic account of what it feels like when a story chooses you, grows with you, and refuses to let you go.
Below is her Creator's Note, presented in her own words.
Creator's Notes by Elowen Scarlet
🌱 From Seed To Forever
How MagicWave’s trust and my chronic 70% excitement baseline collided to grow the newest MagicWave Original: Inks & Pollen.
“We have a concept for a 3-part series 🖤💐
It's a bubbly goth tattoo-artist girl × a gentle, sweet florist guy.
There will be spicy parts, but it’s plot-driven and dramatic, so the tenderness matters too.”
Girl, when I tell you I levitated?
My synapses threw confetti. My brain exploded into petals and feral plot bunnies.
Before we dive in, a tiny disclaimer: No spoilers here—just chaos, craft, and feelings.
This blog exists to:
1. Celebrate MagicWave’s professionalism, kindness, and wild creative generosity.
2. Lovingly expose (with the bare minimum of dignity) the chaotic inner workings of a former novelist who now runs a whole new side-hustle at ungodly hours—with a fervour that borders on possession.
If you want decorum… babe, turn back.
But if you came for craft-nerdery, affectionate self-dragging, and a warm cup of Inks & Pollen tea—take off your shoes.
Mi casa es su casa.
🌱 Who I Am
Hi, my love—I’m Elizabeth.
But in the audio-erotica and romance world? I’m Elowen Scarlet.
I write scripts—full sound cues, performance cues, dialogue, line numbers, the whole emotionally loaded package—bundled into one Google Doc that a voice actor eventually breathes (or moans… deliciously) to life.
This whole gig still feels like a fever dream.
I’m an English–second-language South African mom on the wrong side of forty… and yet here I am, a year deep into writing erotic scripts for international studios.
And somehow—I’ve written a MagicWave Original. My first. I still don’t know how this is my life, but I’m holding it with both hands.
🌱 People Think Audio Erotica Starts With The Sex
It doesn’t. Not in my Plot-Over-Porn world. ✒️💛
For me, a story begins with: • characters • strengths • flaws • baggage 🎒 • wants ✨ • emotional stakes ❤️🩹 • their lessons 📖 • their truth 💛
Baby, the sex is dessert—the story is the meal. 🍰 The filth is fun 😳🔥, but the FEELINGS make the feast.
🌱 A Script Is Born
Every script begins as a seed. 🌱
Seeds hit me: • during school runs • mid–girl talk 💅 • folding laundry • at 2:30 a.m. while begging myself to sleep 😵💫
Sometimes it’s a throwaway line. Sometimes it’s a character who stalks me in my dreams.
For Inks & Pollen, the seed dropped on 24 October 2025:
“Would you be interested and available to write for it? 👀”
🌱 My Reaction (Unfiltered)
Interested?
Yes. Available? Yes. Excited? HELL YES. 🔥
Aqua’s message was the writer-equivalent of a religious experience. ✨
She had me at: • 3-part series • bubbly goth 🖤 • florist guy 🌸 • plot-driven • dramatic • tenderness 💛
🌱 Why The Concept Hit Me Like A Truck
Worldbuilding? Emotional architecture? Characters who are messy and human? Baby, that is my terrain. ✒️💛
I specialize in men who: • feel deeply • break beautifully • love with catastrophic sincerity ❤️🔥
So when MagicWave handed me: her chaos × his calm her ink × his petals her goth × his florist —my creative soul went: “Oh. This is the holy grail of contrasts.”
And my writer-heart whispered: “There you are, profound romance. I missed you.”
🌱 My Creative DNA
Inks & Pollen is my seventh NSFW script this year that’s been licensed, commissioned, or picked up (most still awaiting release 😭🔥)
By now, I’ve accepted that I am… an odd little AE creature. ✨
• I research obsessively. • I’m mostly self-taught. • I toggle between narrative-brain and audio-brain like a broken ceiling fan. • I write long-form for fun. • I defend my characters like children and mourn them like exes. 💔😅
I didn’t see a “brief.” I felt tenderness. Ache. A friendship slow-burning into love.
This story taught me that tenderness isn’t the opposite of intensity—it is intensity, whispered in a softer dialect.
MagicWave taught me that hands-off until review doesn’t mean they’re disinterested—it’s means they respect my instincts.
🎧 Sound Before Story
Before I complete the first scene? I make the playlist.
Click to listen: Inks and Pollen
This ritual keeps me sane while balancing:
• admin/finance job
• motherhood
• marriage
• nocturnal writing sessions 🌙✨
Music is my portal back into their heartbeat.
The second I added Sia’s “Breathe Me”, my heart whispered: “This is their song.” 💛
The playlist built itself. The first living organ of Inks & Pollen. 🌸
🌶️ A Note On Spice
Every MagicWave brief has “Spice Notes”.
For this one, it said: “The florist is a soft dom.”
My internal reaction? “Give me dimension, and I’ll give you depth, longing, and the kind of desire that kicks you in the sternum before it kicks you in the nuts.” 😈✨
That’s the dream—to write sensuality that feels honest and character-driven, and not forced by a studio. 💛
I cannot wait for Rowan’s layers to be revealed…
In his emotional tension, his breathless wanting, the way he sees Daisy like she’s both holy and devastatingly desirable all at once.
Soft voice.
Wicked mind.
All heart. 😉💐
🔐 On Trust & The VA
Not screaming this VA’s name is agony. 😭🔥
But professionalism wins every time.
I studied an absurd amount of his work.
After hearing one specific clip, I told the Team: “If there were ever any doubts about [redactedredactedredacted] voicing Rowan Everhart, they disappear here.”
He’s: • heartbreaking • emotionally aware • intense • naturally poetic ✨
Rowan wouldn’t simply be assigned to him. Rowan would be entrusted to him. And I take that trust seriously. 💛
Creating Rowan and Daisy’s world never felt like work. It felt like a privilege—a sacred undertaking.
And I know that when he records it, he’ll feel that same pull. 🌿🎧
🌶️ Short Note On VA Boundaries and VA Comfort Level
During final review, I was asked to soften the spice in Episode 3 to honour the VA’s comfort boundaries. (Honestly? This exact conversation has been a big talking point in the AE community lately.)
My reaction?
“Well damn—a gentleman as we live and breathe!” 🔥
I respect any VA who can radiate heat without needing to be explicit on-mic. And so should you. 💛
Because the truth is: the right performance can make a whisper feel HOTTER than an entire explicit kink-heavy scene.
And this VA? Yeah. He’s that kind of artist. ✨
🌿 Why His Name Is Rowan Everhart
MagicWave let me choose their names—and I took that freedom like a woman handed the karaoke mic. 😌✨
Rowan’s last name grew from the early flower shop idea—Everhart & Evergreen.
Rowan → a protective tree tied to gentle strength 🌳
Soft enough for a shy florist. Strong enough for the soft dom he becomes.
A name with spine. A name with soul.
MagicWave basically went: “Home run. Lock it in.”
But then—the listener.
I originally named her Dusk (moody-poetic era). MagicWave’s Team gently suggested Daisy… and GIRL. They were right.
That made her bloom.
Traits popped, Rowan had something to say to her when they met, and BOOM: she had a kick-ass 2.0 tattoo studio name: Daisy Steel Ink.
That’s what collaboration is. Listening. Learning. Throwing everything into the melting pot and letting it simmer into something better than any of us could’ve done alone.
Daisy?
Collaboration at its finest. 🌼💛
🌱 How MagicWave Grew Inks & Pollen With Me
The outline was already textured and alive. Then they handed me freedom: “Grow it.”
And girl… I did. ✨
They let me:
• dig into pasts (his grief, her daddy issues—not that kind!)
• let Rowan think out loud (pining, the thirst, the “oh God, please”)
• level up side characters (Arlo, Ash Mercer)
• shape the spice (the slow burn, the kisses, the almost—)
Even if we are besties by now, sorry (not sorry), no spice spoilers. 😏🔥
They don’t use character thoughts in audios—but they let me keep them… and loved them. 💛
They also let me keep Arlo (yes, there was a tiny “do we need him?” moment 🙈).
I FOUGHT for him ⚔️💛—and he stayed.
He’s Rowan’s emotional leak valve.
The only living soul he tells the things he can’t yet whisper to Daisy. 🌼
MagicWave didn’t tighten the reins—they loosened them.
And because of that, the story bloomed on Rowan and Daisy’s timing. 🌿
The warm and fuzzies, right?? I KNOW you feel them too. 💖💥
🌸 The Series Summary (They Needed All Three Episodes, Okay?)
(Ingredients for the chaos that hijacked my brain 🤯, my sleep 🌘, and my ability to function🙃 for the last month):
BUT in my sassy-chaotic voice… 💛📖
(and without giving away the plot twists or the ending—HA!)
🌼 Episode 1 (a.k.a Catching Feelings)
• A soft-shy florist boy who can make arrangements for literally everyone… except himself (total sweetheart energy).
• A sunshine-goth, roller-skating tattoo girl who lights up his entire universe without even trying.
• They start swapping creative offerings—flowers, sketches, hidden meanings—while trying to cling to that “this isn’t flirting…” boundary with both hands.
🌺 Episode 2 (a.k.a The Ache)
• Her life goes sideways.
• Rowan shows up for her—all heart, zero agenda.
• Lines blur…
(and that’s all you’re getting, I have self-control)
🌹 Episode 3 (a.k.a Make A Choice, Daisy)
• Healing era. ✨
• Soft moments. 🤍
• Real laughter. 😌
• Real hope. 🌿
• Life throws one last curveball. 🎢
• Rowan steps up in the way good guys do, and it shifts everything. 💛
🌺 The Agony of Waiting to Meet The Real Rowan
Why do I keep doing this to myself? Why did I fall for Rowan?? Why am I embarrassingly attached to Daisy?? 🙃💛
I need therapy.
(And to write another script.) 😭✨
This script is now floating in the void between review and production…
And I’ve already:
• finished it • bled into it • cried 😭 • cackled 🤭 • blushed and gushed 😳🔥 • edited until I hallucinated commas and comments 👀
They’re slipping away from me—Rowan is becoming breath.
He’ll find his voice soon. 🎤
And when he does, I’ll finally be able to let him go (and immediately latch onto my next… victim—
I mean, character 😌✨).
MagicWave and [redactedredactedredacted] are about to turn this Original into living sound.
Friendship. Ache. Heat. 🔥🔥 The whole emotional buffet.
It’s surreal in the most beautiful way. 🌿💛
Like Rowan and Daisy stepping out of my heart-space and into a world ready to hear them, feel them—
messy, emotional, and alive. ✨💖
🌱 Looking Back
What do I feel now? Everything. All at once. Empty. In love. A little griefy. Very proud. And stupidly excited for what comes next.
The journey—from Aqua’s first message to final review—felt like watching something fragile take root in our hands.
MagicWave offered soil. Their concept offered the seed. And their trust let Rowan and Daisy fully bloom. 🌿✨
And for that?
I am deeply, embarrassingly grateful. 💛
To the MagicWave Review Team who combed through my Google Docs—honestly, you brilliant humans deserve medals—thank you.
To Aqua, RikaR, and joanofarc—you were right beside me every inch of the script’s growth, and I felt your support the whole way.
I hope this Original makes you proud. I hope Rowan wrecks you at first sound. And I hope you know your integrity is a huge part of why this story grew into something so beautiful. 🌺
With ink and petals ✒️🌸
Elowen
P.S. Aqua and I still have a few delicious little surprises tucked away. Nothing to reveal just yet… but this story?
Oh, it loves to bloom in unexpected ways… in the most unexpected places.
Watch this space. 😉
